BCLP Partner Andrey Spektor authored an op-ed published Jan. 5 in Fortune Magazine on the impact of investigative journalism on the criminal justice system. “The year of highly publicized trials has ended, but one trend will endure: reporters and producers feeding prosecutors some of their biggest cases,” Andrey wrote. Andrey pointed to Elizabeth Holmes, Ghislaine Maxwell, Jeffrey Epstein, Harvey Weinstein and Bill Cosby coverage to show “articles can be more than just leads: they could result in a fundamental shift in our justice system, which remains the envy of the world.”

Andrey is an award-winning former federal prosecutor and seasoned trial and appellate advocate. His practice focuses on representing companies, boards of directors and individuals in criminal actions, government investigations, complex commercial litigation and appeals. He also works with clients to design, enhance and implement risk-based compliance programs, as well as to conduct internal investigations.
