Sarah is an experienced white collar crime lawyer, whose practice is focussed on all aspects of business crime investigation, defence, compliance and risk mitigation. Her key areas of specialism include anti-bribery and corruption, financial sanctions, fraud, anti-facilitation of tax evasion and anti-money laundering.
Sarah has particular experience in conducting internal investigations and defending both corporates and senior individuals in government and regulatory investigations, such as by the Serious Fraud Office and Financial Conduct Authority.
Sarah also has a considerable compliance practice, covering not only ad hoc compliance queries but also the design, overhaul and implementation of compliance programmes and the development and updating of policies and procedures and internal training programmes.
Sarah’s experience covers a wide range of sectors including private equity, financial services, extractives, real estate, oil and gas, telecoms, gaming and manufacturing.
Previously, Sarah was an Investigative Lawyer with the Serious Fraud Office, where she specialised in the prosecution of complex, cross-border bribery and corruption investigations. Sarah’s prosecution experience includes the first prosecution pursuant to the corporate offence under the Bribery Act 2010.
