Amberg Authors ‘Los Angeles Lawyer’ 2019 Ethics Roundup

Los Angeles Partner John W. Amberg co-authored an article for the April issue of Los Angeles Lawyer magazine that reviews significant developments in California legal ethics during the past year. Now in its 19th year, Amberg’s annual ethics roundup addresses such issues as conflicts of interest, malpractice, settlement agreements, litigation privilege, attorney-client privilege and work product, fee issues, and the anti-SLAPP statue, among other issues.

Amberg is a member of the firm’s Commercial Dispute Resolution, Class Action and Product Liability Practices, and is chair of the firmwide Ethics Committee. He has tried and arbitrated cases throughout California and serves as an expert witness on professional liability and legal ethics matters. He is a former chair of the California State Bar’s Committee on Professional Responsibility and Conduct and a former chair and current member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association’s Professional Responsibility and Ethics Committee.
