On Sept. 20,  BCLP’s Global Data and Privacy team presented “Part 2” of a webinar series on EU and UK outbound data flows. This session focused on the new EU SCCs—“Getting into the weeds without getting lost.” Highlights included:

  • How to use the new SCCs and how they are different
  • Transfer risk assessments – how step 3 of the EDPB's road map fits with the new SCCs
  • The UK position – which clauses should be used for UK outbound data transfers
  • Key dates for "papering" new international transfers and "re-papering" existing arrangements
  • Tips on priorities and strategies for "re-papering" current data transfer arrangements
