Associates Lydia Moore and Lydia Octon-Burke authored an article, first published by Employment Law Journal in the May edition, which looks at recent developments in the employment sector affecting employers and their advisers. The article considers specific case studies, including the Employment Appeal Tribunal’s Cox v Adecco [2021] and Northbay Pelagic Ltd v Anderson [2021]. Moore and Octon-Burke also highlight key points in a speech given by the Financial Conduct Authority’s executive director on why Black inclusion is an important regulatory issue and determine that the speech “shows how D&I (Inclusion & Diversity) is changing from being an aspiration to being a regulatory requirement in the financial sector.”
