BCLP Counsel Katherine Keating was featured Aug. 17 by Law360 Pulse for the pro bono work she has done to strengthen LGBTQ rights nationwide. The article, “The Gay & Lesbian Attorneys Behind 3 Big LGBTQ Rights Cases,” particularly noted Keating’s work for BCLP client Family Equality, including in Sharonell Fulton et al. v. Philadelphia et al., a U.S. Supreme Court case asking whether governments may require the foster care agencies they license to work with same-sex couples who want to foster or adopt children, and in the landmark 2015 marriage equality case Obergefell v. Hodges. Keating said of her LGBTQ rights work, “It’s the most important thing I've ever done as a lawyer….  [T]o find a way to use my skills to serve this community, [has been] amazing.”
