Bryan Cave offices and lawyers earned high marks in the third annual edition of Benchmark: Litigation, a guide to America’s leading litigation firms and attorneys. The publication conducted extensive face-to-face interviews around the country during a 12-month period in an effort to provide comprehensive coverage of the U.S. litigation market.

Bryan Cave achieved national ranking as a Tier 3 Leading Firm in products liability. The firm also ranked in the “recommended” category in Arizona and New York and the “highly recommended” category in Georgia and Missouri. A competitor noted, “Bryan Cave should be included in any list of top Missouri firms,” and the New York office was cited as having “made a name for itself by often taking cases on referral from other New York firms, and winning them.”

The publication acknowledged Phoenix Managing Partner Lawrence Scarborough for his class action defense work and Partner Steven Hirsch for his strengths in real estate and development disputes.

In Georgia, Partner William Custer was noted for his products liability and toxic tort litigation practice and Partner Jennifer Odom for her practice advising fiduciaries, including executors, administrators, trustees, and officers and directors.

In Kansas City, Partner Craig O’Dear was cited as being “best known for his prosecution and defense of Fortune 500 companies,” and Partner Robert Hoffman as being “highly regarded for his business litigation work.” Managing Partner Robert Thompson was acknowledged for his work in complex commercial and consumer class action litigation and Partner Perry Brandt for his work in securities and white-collar criminal investigations. Partner Staci Schorgl was praised for her work in commercial, employment and products liability litigation.

In St. Louis, accolades went to Partner Dan Ball for his lead role in the products liability section and Partner Charles Weiss for his representation of clients in antitrust, construction, products liability and securities disputes. Now Managing Partner of the San Francisco office, Lee Marshall was noted for his intellectual property litigation and appellate practice.

In New York, Partner Christine Cesare was acknowledged for her work in complex commercial litigation.
