The 2019 Women’s Justice Awards selection committee has named St. Louis Partner Liz Blackwell a winner in its litigation practitioner category. Presented by Missouri Lawyers Weekly, the award recognizes female litigation practitioners who have demonstrated leadership, integrity, service, sacrifice and accomplishment in improving the quality of justice and exemplifying the highest ideals of the legal profession.

Blackwell has 20 years of experience defending agricultural, food and consumer product manufacturers in high-profile litigation across the nation. She has defended clients against product design claims, false labeling and advertising claims, targeted marketing claims, content-based speech regulations, and court-ordered compelled speech in many cases, at both the trial court and appellate level.

The Women’s Justice Awards, now in its 21st year, honor women in various segments of the legal community, including the bar, the bench, public office, business, academia, nonprofits and the state at large. Honorees will be recognized in Missouri Lawyers Weekly’s print and online coverage, and will be honored on April 25 during a cocktail reception and dinner at the Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis.
