International law firm Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner ("BCLP") advised the venture capitalist Rider Global on the series B financing round for logistics company FreightHub. The Berlin start-up was able to raise USD 30 million in this round from Rider Global, another new investor and current shareholders.

FreightHub was founded in 2016 by Ferry Heilemann (CEO), Erik Muttersbach (CTO) and Michael Wax (CCO). From its headquarters in Berlin and further offices in Hamburg, Cologne and Hong Kong, the company offers a platform for booking and tracking worldwide transports of containers (FCL) or pallets (LCL) by sea, air and land and any combination of them in real time.

Rider Global is an investment platform founded in 2018 that partners with founders to facilitate qualitative growth and expansion. Rider Global has a focus on logistics so that it was a natural fit for its fund to lead the new FreightHub funding round.

A team led by Berlin partner Dr. Albrecht von Breitenbuch advised Riders Global on this investment. Albrecht von Breitenbuch has established a growing practice for technology companies and venture capital investors in Berlin and leads this practice area of BCLP in Germany. He had already advised Northzone on their investment in the series A financing round in FreightHub. The advisory team for this transaction also included Counsels Dr. Katharina von Rosenstiel (Berlin) and Dominik Weiss (Hamburg).
