Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner welcomes new Department Chief Operating Officer

Polly Snyder will support the Corporate & Finance Transactions (CFT) Department firmwide

International law firm Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner (BCLP) announces the addition of Polly Snyder to the firm in the new role of Chief Operating Officer for Corporate & Finance Transactions. Her arrival further boosts the firm’s senior business support to global practice groups.

Polly will serve as a trusted adviser to the department leaders in formulating the business strategy for the department, managing the operating model and providing support to lawyers in the department. As a key part of the leadership team of the department, she will ensure the efficient and effective running of support from the business services functions of the firm, including finance, information systems, marketing, facilities, knowledge management and innovation, driving better returns and cross-border collaboration.

With lawyers across Europe, Asia, the Middle East and the U.S., the firm’s Corporate & Finance Transactions Department supports established public and private companies, startup ventures, as well as private equity, venture capital and other financial sponsors active in a wide variety of sectors. The firm’s lawyers are well-known for advising on cross-border and domestic mergers and acquisitions and disposals, as well as equity capital markets transactions, joint ventures, private equity backed acquisitions, spin-offs, split-offs, carve-outs and other strategic alternatives and corporate reorganizations. BCLP is frequently recognized for market-leading position in U.S. M&A for annual completed transactions by deal count, as well as for mid-market transactions by deal count (Refinitiv, f.k.a. Thomson Reuters) and for particular skill with middle market M&A in both the U.S. and UK (Legal 500, Chambers).

Polly brings a wealth of experience with her to BCLP. She is based in BCLP’s Washington, D.C., office and joins from Orrick, Herrington and Sutcliffe, where she served as the Chief Practice Officer for the Finance Business Unit, as well as the Energy & Infrastructure Business Unit. Prior to that, she was counsel in the Litigation Group and practice manager at Clifford Chance US LLP. She graduated magna cum laude from the Georgetown University Law Center, where she received the Order of the Coif, and received her undergraduate degree from Brown University.
