Campriello in ‘The New York Times’
New York Partner Austin Campriello was quoted Sept. 10 in The New York Times during closing arguments in the high-profile trial concerning the collapse of law firm Dewey & LeBoeuf. Campriello and New York Associate Anne Redcross represent former Dewey & LeBoeuf Executive Director Stephen DiCarmine. After three and a half months of trial, Campriello, assisted by Redcross, gave closing arguments Sept. 8 and 9. “Sometimes prosecutors make mistakes,” Campriello told the jury. “Sometimes they make mistakes because they jump to conclusions.” Sometimes “they become fixated.” And sometimes, he argued, “they can’t step back.” The jury is expected to begin deliberations Sept. 16.
