New York Partners Christine Cesare and Stephanie Wickouski were noted June 10 in Law360 for representation of JP Morgan Trust Co. and Bank of New York Mellon Trust Co. in a suit accusing them of improperly handling $36 million in bonds for a now-bankrupt hospital. The banks recently told a federal judge that plaintiff Leonard Becker had sat by passively while BNY Mellon negotiated to receive a payout on the disputed bonds during the bankruptcy of Lower Bucks Hospital, while another group of bondholders – responsible for about 46 percent of the nearly $26 million in bonds still outstanding at that point – had been actively engaged in the process and approved the $8.2 million settlement eventually reached.
