Atlanta Partner Bill Custer was featured March 1 in the Georgia Bankers Association (GBA) newsletter after the Georgia Senate passed an amendment to the state’s Statute of Frauds. Custer, counsel for the GBA, drafted revisions to the bill, and testified on behalf of the organization at several hearings in support of the bill.  Custer also was highlighted in the March 15 edition of the GBA newsletter regarding the Georgia Supreme Court’s ruling on the FDIC v. Loudermilk case, involving claims against officers and directors of a failed bank. Custer provided a summary of the ruling, in which the Supreme Court answered some pesky questions about the continued existence of joint and several liability in the state, but left others for another day.
