Bryan Cave Chief Innovation Officer Katie DeBord will join a panel presentation at the Forum on Legal Evolution, an invitation-only group comprised of legal innovators and early adopters, organized around a shared interest in the changing legal market.
DeBord’s panel on Nov. 9 will discuss “A Sandbox for All to Share: Bringing Clients, Legal Technologists and Law Firms Together in the Name of Data Advancement.” In this session, DeBord will partner with a data publisher and a lawyer/technologist to discuss a breakthrough approach to data mining: Fastcase, which enables law firms to create secure environments that combined their internal data with public data and use AI tools from partners such as IBM Watson to better analyze it.
At Bryan Cave, DeBord drives global initiatives to innovate how the firm delivers client services. This includes new ways to train and develop associates, and new processes and technologies to drive efficiencies and collaboration within the firm. Through a team of specialized software developers and analysts, she also spearheads development of custom technologies that enable clients to streamline and better manage their legal operations.
The Forum on Legal Evolution annually brings together a mix of speakers who are leaders in various corners of the legal industry. The 2017 program features innovators working in business, law firms, academia and the public interest. Click here for more information.
