Boulder Associate Stephanie Drumm was featured in the lead article of the March edition of the ABA Journal, “Ahead of the Curve,” concerning law school technology programs and her experience as an intern with BCLP through the University of Colorado’s Tech Law Accelerator program in 2016. The internship was a joint effort between the university and BCLP’s technology group. The program allowed Drumm to work with an early stage startup as part of an internship with Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner, giving her crucial experience that would ultimately lead into a permanent position with the firm. “You don’t learn about business financials and operations in law school,” Drumm told the publication. The Institute for the Future of Law Practice, which grew out of the Tech Lawyer Accelerator program at the University of Colorado School of Law, is an educational boot camp and job placement program designed to complement traditional legal education with cross-disciplinary knowledge, including the legal technology and operations fields.
