Paris Counsel David Père and François Alambret recently represented before the Créteil Criminal Court a client indicted for laundering the proceeds of undocumented work and tax evasion, and from whom the French authorities claimed payment of the sum of 2.2 million euros in respect of evaded social contributions.

The combined work of Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner’s Business Criminal Law (Père) and the Labor Law (Alambret) Teams succeeded in convincing the French authorities to withdraw their requests at Court, and obtained the client's complete acquittal. This decision is final, as the prosecutor has not appealed.
