New York Partner J. Kevin Healy has been elected as one of 25 new fellows of the American College of Environmental Lawyers (ACOEL) for 2019. Fellows are elected for their distinguished experience, high standards of practice and substantial contributions to the field of environmental law.
The ACOEL is a professional association of lawyers practicing in the field of environmental law. Members are recognized by their peers as leaders in their field and come from private practice, academia, government and not-for-profit organizations. The organization is dedicated to maintaining and improving the ethical practice of environmental law, the administration of justice, and the development of environmental law at both the state and federal levels.
Healy has practiced environmental and land use law for 46 years. He represents parties in matters under the Clean Air Act, the National Environmental Policy Act, the State Environmental Quality Review Act, the Clean Water Act and numerous other federal, state and city environmental programs and provides counsel on the environmental aspects of real estate developments. He represents a wide range of clients, including industrial and commercial corporations, major New York utilities, railroads, public authorities and municipalities.
