Kar Appointed to ABA Leadership Position with Antitrust Section
St. Louis Partner Arindam Kar has been appointed vice chair of the ABA Antitrust Section’s Food & Agriculture Committee. His three-year term begins in August.
Kar’s active antitrust practice at BCLP encompasses antitrust compliance, counseling, investigations and litigation. Clients include those from a diverse range of industries, including agribusiness, animal genetics and nutrition, health care, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals and retail.
Among other leadership duties, Kar is vice chair of the Missouri Bar Antitrust Committee. He is the former chair of BCLP’s Thought Leadership Initiative, served as co-chair of the firm’s Lawyers of Color Affinity Group and is the former chair of the St. Louis Office Recruiting Committee.
Kar is deeply involved in numerous community organizations. In 2017, he was selected as one of the founding members of the St. Louis City-County Governance Task Force, which examined municipal fragmentation and other reforms to improve the equitable access to, and delivery of, government services to residents. He also regularly handles pro bono immigration matters.
