Miami Partner Pedro J. Martinez-Fraga has once again been selected as one of Latin America’s Top 100 Lawyers by Latinvex.
Latinvex selected the leading attorneys from international law firms that are involved in the legal business in Latin America. The ranking includes attorneys from major firms as well as boutique firms and spans 12 categories, including arbitration and litigation, banking and finance, capital markets, corporate/M&A, energy, FCPA and fraud, and project finance. The criteria used was a combination of factors, including recent track record on major deals and business, prominence of the firm in Latin America, and rankings by third parties such as Chambers and Partners, Legal 500 and Thomson Reuters.
Martinez-Fraga is the co-leader of Bryan Cave’s International Arbitration Team. On Dec. 16, 2015, President Barack Obama appointed him as one of four U.S. delegate members to the Panel of Conciliators of the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (World Bank). Martinez-Fraga has represented eight countries as lead counsel and has served in ICSID proceedings. He has published more than 50 articles in 15 countries, which have been translated into ﬁve languages, and has written seven books on public and private international law. He also has served as lead counsel to seven sovereigns, six of these in Latin America.
