St. Louis Partner Jessica Edwards has been selected as a Missouri Lawyers Weekly “Up & Coming” lawyer for 2018. Up & Coming honorees are younger than 40 years old or within their first 10 years of practice and demonstrate professional excellence while making a positive impact on their profession and communities.
Edwards’ practice is primarily focused on transactional tax advice and federal tax controversy matters. She regularly represents some of the most visible and highly regarded companies in the St. Louis area in taxable and tax-free acquisitions, mergers and dispositions, and advises with respect to associated tax issues. She also assists her clients with domestic and international tax planning and restructurings. Edwards represents clients before the Internal Revenue Service in federal controversy matters and in connection with ruling requests. She is an adjunct professor at Washington University’s School of Law, where she teaches advanced corporation taxation as part of the Master’s in Taxation program. She is also vice president of the St. Louis International Tax Group.
