BCLP Partner Brandon Neuschafer was quoted March 16 by Farm Progress concerning the long-term impact on agriculture resulting from the Russia-Ukraine conflict. Outcomes are difficult to predict when so many unintended consequences remain on the table. “The biggest impact right now is in the volatility,” Brandon said. “A lot of uncertainty has been injected into the markets.” He doesn’t expect the current state of volatility and instability to change anytime soon, even if the war winds quickly down. “The impact of this will last for years,” he said. “It’s not like we immediately go back to the way we were before.”
