BCLP Partner Jason DeJonker will join a faculty of restructuring professionals at the 21st annual Advanced Restructuring & Plan of Reorganization Conference (POR). Set for Nov. 14 in New York, this educational forum by the Association of Insolvency & Restructuring Advisors will examine recent legal and financial developments in bankruptcy, insolvency and restructuring activities.

Jason will present as part of a panel dedicated to the topic of disruption in commercial real estate. Over the last 10 years, the commercial real estate financing market has exploded with financing sources and decision-makers, but what are the best ways to navigate the maze of lenders, servicing agreements and decision makers when restructuring a loan or a lease? How do you drive value, create leverage and structure modifications that are useful to all stakeholders, and is litigation the solution? This afternoon session will address these questions and others.

Co-global practice group leader of BCLP’s Finance Transactions Practice, Jason represents private equity and hedge fund investors, financial institutions, Fortune 500 corporations and bankruptcy trustees throughout the United States in bankruptcy and creditors’ rights matters. His experience includes lender and borrower-side loan workouts, representations of debtors and secured creditors in Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases (including DIP and exit finance) and the plan confirmation process, commercial foreclosures, and complex collection and judgment collection matters. He’s also co-leader of the firm’s multidisciplinary Special Situations Team, within the Corporate Department.

The AIRA conference is organized as a hybrid event, offering attendees a live, in-person experience and a virtual option.
