Paris Partner Didier Bruère-Dawson, a member of the firm’s Restructuring and Special Situations Team, avocat au barreau de Paris and solicitor in England and Wales, was interviewed in L'Agefi Hebdo regarding the French securities law enacted recently. This major overhaul happened at the same time as the reform of the insolvency and pre-insolvency legal frame. “We supported the idea of doing both reforms at the same time with a view to helping the bounce back of the economy which requires good securities to obtain good credit,” he commented. The article details the main aspects of the reform, and whether it will be a simplification of the fiducie (French trust) or an easier access to the financing instruments used by companies.
