Prof Dr. Bernd Geier, LL.M. (Cambridge), is a partner in our Frankfurt office and professor of business, bank, capital markets law and regulation. His clients are banks, financial institutions, payment service providers and asset managers/funds. Bernd’s practice focuses on financial regulatory advice with a particular focus on regulatory change projects (e.g. MiFID II, MAR, EMIR) and the structuring of funds and capital markets transactions, outsourcing as well as recovery and resolution matters. Bernd is a lecturer on bank regulation and resolution at the University of Speyer. He is admitted to practice law in Germany, England and Wales.

Bernd is a contributing author to the Financial Regulation: Emerging Themes in 2019 publication - an extensive collection of articles around the themes of investigations. financial crime, digital, markets, supervision and governance.
