Sheek Shah is an Associate in the firm’s Technology and Commercial practice group. His practice consists of counseling clients on all aspects of compliance with local and international data privacy and security laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which includes comprehensive data mapping, drafting and implementing various privacy-centric policies, and negotiating third party agreements. Sheek also assists clients in preparing for and responding to various cyber security threats, such as ransomware, phishing schemes, and business email compromise (BEC) fraud. Sheek has advised clients across the globe, including Fortune 500 companies, in a variety of industries including retail, software, tech, telecom, hospitality, medical devices, and financial institutions.

Prior to joining the firm, Sheek served as an Associate in the tech and data group of a global law firm. He also previously acted as Associate Attorney at a national insurance company, where he counseled the privacy and data security teams on Gramm-Leach-Bliley and state data breach laws.
