Brett focuses his practice on commercial disputes, with considerable dedication to general and complex commercial litigation across a variety of industries, and  regulatory matters related to international business transactions.

Brett obtained his J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law, where he was the Managing Editor for the North Carolina Journal of International Law. He was also a competing member of the Asian American Law Students Association Holderness Moot Court Team, and a member of the Dean’s Advisory Committee. Brett was the recipient of the 2018 Eugene Gressman and Daniel H. Pollitt Oral Advocacy Award. He volunteered extensively during his time at UNC School of  Law through various pro bono experiences and through the UNC School of Law Immigration Clinic. He currently serves on the UNC School of Law Young Alumni Leadership Council. Prior to law school, Brett taught 11th grade Spanish, English, and English Advanced Placement in the Louisiana Delta.
