Mr. Lowry’s real estate experience includes acquisition of hotels, apartment complexes, shopping centers, office, entertainment venues, industrial properties and service complexes. He regularly advises and counsels clients on issues related to zoning, public and private finance, land development, appurtenant rights and subdivision of property. He counsels developers in connection with various land use issues, including appearing before various governmental and quasi-governmental entities for zoning, variances, conditional use permits, annexations and other related matters in Illinois and Missouri. Mr. Lowry has broad leasing experience and works regularly with landlords and tenants on leasing projects for office, retail, restaurant and hospitality, warehouse, manufacturing, entertainment venues and distribution facilities.

His franchise and distributorship practice focuses on providing advice to various franchisors and distributors in compliance with United States regulatory requirements in getting their products to market, including those clients operating under a true franchise model or the use of distributorships, sales representatives, company-owned outlets, licensing arrangements or other means. For those clients utilizing a franchise model, Mr. Lowry works with clients to prepare franchise agreements and the uniform franchise offering circulars in compliance with federal and state disclosure and registration obligations. Mr. Lowry regularly advises clients in the termination or non-renewal of the franchise or distribution relationship within the limitations of state and federal laws and regulations. His background includes developing franchised hospitality properties prior to joining the firm. Mr. Lowry works with clients in a wide variety of industries, including food service, hospitality, automotive, medical instruments, chemicals, books, alcoholic beverages and spirits, building supplies, clothing, gasoline and petroleum, consumer electronics, agricultural products, hair salons, musical instruments, temporary services, entertainment, industrial equipment, internet access, consumer products, legal support services, recreational equipment and sports and recreational products.
Eddie Lowry has assisted in counseling clients with respect to franchising, distribution and dealership issues, pricing and sales practices and competitive issues relating to proposed mergers and acquisitions.
