Representative Experience

  • Consolidated Contractors International Company - Advised on substantial claims CCIC was pursuing against a major hydrocarbon company in relation to claims arising out of two contracts for major oil and gas pipelines in the ex-Soviet Union region.
  • University of Cambridge - Providing project advisory legal advice to the University on Phase 1 on the North West Cambridge development project to build a new mixed use district and extension to the City on a 150 hectare site.
  • Qatar Electricity and Water Company - Advising on 2 major ICC arbitrations relating to US$100m plus prolongation and loss and expense claims arising out of 2 desalination projects.
  • Balfour Beatty Engineering Services - Advised Balfour Beatty on a dispute with a major contractor regarding significant delays on the project to provide specialist M&E services to a new hospital laboratory as well as a full final account dispute involving variations on the scope of works and design interface issues with the M&E consultant. Involving a JCT Standard Building Sub-Contract with sub-contractors design.
