Courtney Thompson is an associate in the San Francisco office and a member of the firm’s Commercial Disputes practice group. Her practice focuses primarily on commercial disputes and intellectual property litigation.

Courtney earned her J.D. from the University of California-Irvine School of Law. During law school, she served as a Student Representative in the UC Irvine Student Bar Association and participated in the UCI Law Moot Court competition. As part of her work for the UCI International Justice Clinic, she travelled to Malaysia with the UN Special Rapporteur on Freedom of Opinion and Expression to meet with local and international leaders on issues related to free expression in Malaysia.

Prior to attending law school, Courtney worked in research administration and regulatory compliance, overseeing the financial management of research grants and regulatory compliance of human subjects research at a large university.
