Biography

David Miller’s practice focuses on representing corporations and individuals in significant white collar, securities, antitrust, and complex civil litigations. He has extensive experience prosecuting the claims of large public companies in multi-district litigations and before international arbitration tribunals, and has represented plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of actions in federal and state courts. David has also represented various clients in the entertainment industry, including Hollywood and Broadway producers, as well as oil and gas multi-nationals.

Prior to joining BCLP, David interned for the Honorable Julia S. Gibbons at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, as well as the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Enforcement Division, Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Department of Justice, U.S. Attorney’s Office, Western District of Tennessee, before joining Kasowitz, Benson and Torres LLP as an associate attorney in New York.

David earned his J.D. from Washington & Lee University School of Law in 2013. While in law school, he was a frequent participant in various school activities including student government, the law school football league, and moot court. David won the John W. Davis Appellate Advocacy Moot Court Competition and frequented the regional and national level competitions. He spent his 3L year as co-chair of appellate advocacy on the Moot Court board.

Prior to attending law school, David worked for over six years working at Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley in their global wealth management departments.

Experience

  • Represented a major automaker in obtaining affirmative recoveries in connection with price-fixing, bid-rigging and customer allocation cartels involving more than 90 automotive parts suppliers, and impacted purchases in North America, Europe, Asia, Africa and South America, described by the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice as its largest criminal antitrust investigation, resulting in nearly $3 billion in criminal fines.
  • Represented corporate and individual defendants in a criminal securities fraud and SEC enforcement action in the Southern District of New York arising out of an alleged scheme to defraud relating to the resale of tickets for Hamilton and other Broadway shows and concerts.
  • Represented Loreley Financing in analyzing and bringing claims against major investment banks and other financial institutions concerning billions of dollars of collateralized debt obligations and other structured finance products.
  • Represented Harold Peerenboom, CEO of Mandrake International in a multi-jurisdiction defamation, extortion, and DNA theft suit against Isaac “Ike” Perlmutter, CEO of Marvel Entertainment.
