Jack advises on a broad range of commercial property matters with a focus on landlord and tenant transactions.  Jack also deals with the acquisition, development, management and disposal of real estate investments across a range of sectors.  Jack has real estate finance experience acting for both lenders and borrowers on LMA investment and development transactions.  During his training contract, Jack spent three months in the legal team of a global, institutional asset management arm.

Representative Experience

Aviva - Asset management work, acting for the landlord on leasing for retail and office units including new leases (up to £200k/p.a.), lease renewals, licences, and pop-up lettings.  Advising one of its long-income funds on an asset acquisition of a long leasehold interest totalling £46 million.

Quintain – Advised Quintain as borrower in relation to the mezzanine financing of its build to rent development in Wembley, the largest of its kind in the United Kingdom.  From a real estate perspective, advising on the adoption of an energy centre and associated pipework network across the Wembley estate.

Lloyds Bank Plc – Advised the clearing bank, together with its syndicate, on a £400m development financing to a private equity firm seeking to develop Islington Square into a quality retail space (170,000 sq. ft.) containing dining, lifestyle and leisure options.

BlackRock – Asset management work and dealing with the relevant fund’s disposals in relation to parcels of land forming part of a larger industrial development site.

Northwood Investors – Advising the developer on rights of light and neighbourly matters to enable the development of its proposed mixed-use site in Central London.
