Kate Lessaris handles a variety of commercial litigation, product liability, and labor and employment matters in state and federal court.  Ms. Lessaris’ experience encompasses all aspects of litigation, including drafting and arguing motions, preparing for and taking depositions, and preparing temporary restraining orders.

Ms. Lessaris has represented clients at large financial institutions, including in the prosecution of commercial foreclosures, defense of residential wrongful foreclosure claims, defense of statutory claims under the Truth in Lending Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and state consumer protection acts.  In addition, Ms. Lessaris has defended employers against employment discrimination claims arising under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act and the Illinois Human Rights Act.  She has also advised and defended clients with respect to breach of contract claims, negligence claims and other tort claims.
