Biography

Logan Parker serves as a privacy advisor to business clients across a variety of industries, and provides strategic and legal guidance on data privacy issues. He regularly counsels his clients on legal matters that include privacy, cybersecurity, technology, IT contracts, the internet, big data, and cross-border data transfers. He also serves as breach counsel for a wide variety of data security incidents and breaches, domestic and abroad, including business email compromises, ransomware attacks, wire frauds, and unauthorized and inadvertent disclosures.

Logan is a Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States by the International Association of Privacy Professionals and is certified in Healthcare Compliance by the Health Care Compliance Association and has a Yellow Belt with Legal Lean Sigma.

  • Developed Data Protection Impact Assessment (“DPIA”) methodology and platform for a Fortune 50 computer and software company’s artificial intelligence, research, and ethics business unit.
  • Drafted global incident management and breach response procedures for an international pharmaceutical company and tested such procedures during a table-top exercise.
  • Assessed the readiness of an international pharmaceutical company’s cybersecurity program in response to the Chinese Cybersecurity Law and made recommendations for compliance.
  • Managed and oversaw an international data company’s initiative to build controls for compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation while seconded with the company’s European business.
  • Assisted U.S.-based hotel chain with California Consumer Protection Act (“CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (“CPRA”) compliance efforts and drafted necessary policies and procedures for implementation.
  • Conducted controls testing and recommended corrective action and remedial measures for Fortune 50 multi-national financial services company.
  • Assisted a variety of clients, such as large national managed service providers, hospital systems, and accounting and law firms, with breach and incident management in response to data security incidents (ie: ransomware attacks and business email compromises); this includes overseeing and managing forensic experts and investigations, regulatory agency reporting and interactions, individual notification analysis and requirements, and crisis communication drafting and cadence.
