Nikolay’s specialist practice areas are antitrust law, the legislation on state purchases and on trade.
Nikolay Voznesenskiy has extensive experience of providing legal support for Russian and international companies, co-ordinating work on major client projects in the metals, fuel and energy, car and food industries, production of industrial equipment, trade and services, including financial services.
Nikolay advises major Russian and foreign companies on a broad range of antitrust law matters: prevention of monopolistic practices (agreements and concerted actions, co-ordination of economic activities, abuse of dominant position), drafting of petitions and notifications to the antitrust bodies, liaising with the antitrust bodies during audits, development of programmes for observing the antitrust legislation and study programmes. He also acts for clients before the antitrust bodies.
Nikolay has fulfilled a significant number of projects on organising contractual relations within the scope of dealership networks, promotion of financial services, structuring of a system for selling prepaid goods and services (non-bank cards, gift vouchers). Voznesenskiy has participated in introduction by international companies of option models and employee profit-sharing plans in Russia and has taken an active part in their implementation in practice.
For several years in a row, Nikolay Voznesenskiy has been identified by Global Competition Review’s (GCR) independent research as being among the world’s leading Competition lawyers. Nikolay is also mentioned among world’s leading practising antitrust lawyers in Who’s Who Legal, he is ranked in Band 1 by Chambers Europe 2017, recommended by the Legal 500 2017 and selected by peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in Russia 2019 Edition in the fields of Competition Law and Litigation. Nikolay was also named Competition and Antitrust Lawyer of the Year, according to Corporate LiveWire Awards 2016.
