Zena M. Ho is a real estate attorney who regularly represents banks, non-bank lenders, real estate companies, real estate investment trusts, and private equity funds in a wide variety of real estate related transactions. She advises borrowers and lenders on structuring and documenting all types of real estate financing transactions involving a broad range of real estate assets, including multifamily developments, office and industrial parks, retail centers, mixed-use projects, and hospitality properties.  Zena’s broad range of finance experience also includes representing lenders in the purchase, workout, and restructuring of distressed loans, debt and equity financing and other intercreditor transactions. Zena also regularly represents buyers in real estate acquisitions and uses her extensive experience representing banks and other non-bank lenders to ensure that her client’s time and resources are utilized to address the more significant potential issues that may arise. 

Zena is committed to building enduring teams to ensure the success of her clients and colleagues.  Clients experience her commitment to their success when she takes her time to ensure that their processes, procedures and form documents are up to date and accurate, when she continues to ensure that they receive consistent, high quality work product and when she goes the extra steps to ensure that each deal closes on time and within budget. Zena understands that many of her clients rely on repeat business and though a fierce advocate for her client, she is a thoughtful,  creative problem solver and always pleasant in her dealings with opposing counsel.  Colleagues enjoy working with Zena because she is very organized and thorough and takes the extra time to clearly communicate projects and provide constructive feedback. 

Apart from her legal practice, Zena dedicates her time to serve her colleagues. She served as the co-chair of the Irvine Bryan Cave Women’s Initiative and currently serves as the co-chair of BCLP Women, Los Angeles and is the co-chair of the Diversity and Inclusiveness Committee for the firm’s Real Estate group. By serving in these capacities and planning events and programs targeting women and diverse associates, Zena hopes to provide more opportunities for her colleagues so that they may attain success at the firm.

Zena earned her J.D. from Loyola Law School, where she was Chief Managing Editor of the Loyola of Los Angeles Entertainment Law Review.
