BCLP Partner Mark Paskar and Counsel Steve Trubac are set to give a program to firm client, Early Warning Services (EWS), on April 10. The in-person program will address the basics of trademark and copyright law, including trademark and copyright clearance, searching, prosecution, maintenance and enforcement. Other topics of discussion include the trademark and copyright registration process, post-registration maintenance filings, avoiding infringement, and intellectual property myths.

Mark Paskar is an experienced intellectual property attorney who concentrates primarily in the areas of trademark, trade dress, copyright and Internet matters. He counsels clients on a wide range of intellectual property issues, including all aspects of global brand protection and enforcement as well as intellectual property acquisition, licensing and monetization. Mark's practice includes assisting clients with the selection and clearance of trademarks and protection of trademarks and copyrights through federal and foreign registration as well as the implementation and maintenance of trademark and copyright monitoring and enforcement programs.

Steve represents clients with transactional and litigation needs that arise throughout the United States. He has significant litigation experience in both state and federal courts and has assisted clients in matters ranging from simple breach of contract actions to patent and copyright infringement actions, insurance coverage declaratory judgment lawsuits, environmental litigation actions, and securities class action lawsuits. Steve focuses much of his practice on trademark prosecution and enforcement. He represents and advises clients in trademark prosecution of domestic and international trademark applications, and represents clients in trademark opposition and cancellation proceedings before the USPTO, trademark infringement suits in federal court, and in domain name disputes before the World Intellectual Property Organization.
