Two BCLP partners quoted in ‘Wall Street Journal’ on FTX arrest
Dec 15, 2022BCLP Partners and former Federal Prosecutors Renato Mariotti and Andrey Spektor were quoted Dec. 15 by The Wall Street Journal concerning the arrest of FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried and what’s next in the case against him. “You can’t accidentally commit a crime,” Andrey said. Prosecutors also can bolster their case by showing the sheer magnitude of the alleged fraud, Renato noted. “The allegation is that essentially the entire enterprise was fraudulent,” he said. “It makes it much more difficult for the defendant to say he didn’t know what was going on.”
