Biography
Maryclaire Kennedy is a member of the firm’s Business and Commercial Disputes Practice. She is an experienced litigator, who handles litigation involving complex business transactions and commercial contract disputes. Maryclaire also represents clients in internal and government investigations.
Maryclaire has a robust pro bono practice. She assists individuals seeking compassionate release from incarceration and represents victims of domestic violence in uncontested divorce proceedings.
Prior to joining BLCP, Maryclaire served as a state prosecutor in New York. In that role, she prosecuted a range of criminal offenses, routinely leading court proceedings, including dozens of hearings and six trials. Outside of the courtroom, Maryclaire handled motion practice, witness interviews, discovery production, and preparation of experts and lay witnesses for various court proceedings.
Prior to her time as an assistant district attorney, Maryclaire worked as a judicial intern for Honorable Nelson S. Roman of the Southern District of New York and Honorable Lawrence H. Ecker of the Westchester County Supreme Court.
