BCLP Associate Jordan Haas is highlighted in January by the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Foundation (KCMBF) for his pro bono work for veterans.

Jordan is featured online as part of KCMBA’s Military Matters program, one of three Legal Connection programs operated by KCMBA.

Each month, Military Matters focuses on a volunteer attorney who goes above and beyond in accepting referrals for service members and veterans of the Kansas City community. Jordan explained that his experience serving in the program has been positive, “with beneficial results for the veterans.” The cases he’s assisted to date all have involved real estate, including property guidance, landlord/tenant disputes and title matters.

Jordan is part of BCLP’s wider firmwide network of attorneys who perform pro bono legal work. BCLP is committed to making a real and lasting difference to the communities where it operates and beyond; it’s one of the firm’s core values. Lawyers, trainees and paralegals around the globe give their time and legal skills to a wide array of pro bono projects to help those in need.

Alongside his pro bono efforts, Jordan’s active practice at BCLP focuses on commercial real estate matters. He represents clients in connection with acquisitions, dispositions, financing, development and leasing across a variety of asset classes, including commercial and multifamily real estate development. Jordan also counsels clients in connection with asset-based lending, bond financing and debt restructuring. He also has appeared before the Kansas Board of Tax Appeals on tax valuation matters.
