BCLP Associate Named a ‘Top Young Diverse Lawyer in OC’
Dec 15, 2021BCLP Associate Hollie N. Washington has been named a 2021 Top Young Diverse Lawyers of OC by the Orange County Coalition for Diversity in the Law (OCCDL).
The OCCDL Board of Directors and Professional Development Committee annually select awardees for achievements in their legal work as well as their work to champion diversity, equity and inclusion in the Orange County legal community.
Hollie has been an active speaker with OCCDL and the Orange County legal community, having tackled such topics as “imposter syndrome,” how to improve collaboration between partners and associates, the law firm interview process, and D&I in the practice of law. She is currently president-elect of the Thurgood Marshall Bar Association and is a member of the Orange County Bar Association (OCBA) Racial Justice Task Force. Among her other professional involvements, Hollie served as co-chair and treasurer for OCCDL and as the D&I chair of the OCBA Young Lawyers Division. Hollie is a 2021 Leadership Council on Legal Diversity Pathfinder.
At BCLP, Hollie focuses her practice on the financing of multifamily properties. She represents borrowers, lenders, co-lenders and commercial mortgage loan servicers in the origination and servicing of loans, including loans made in connection with Freddie Mac’s Capital Markets Execution (CME) program. Hollie has also counseled lenders and servicers on loans under the Freddie Mac SBL program and Fannie Mae’s Delegated Underwriting and Servicing (DUS) product line. Hollie looks forward to expanding her practice to include asset-based financing.
This year’s honorees will be celebrated by OCCDL at a planned event in February 2022.
