BCLP St. Louis Partner Reggie Harris and St. Louis Of Counsel Richard Finneran are among Missouri’s “Power 30” white-collar defense lawyers, as named by Missouri Lawyers Weekly.

“Our editorial team interviewed attorneys and other leaders around the state, reviewed records of verdicts and settlements, and consulted Missouri Lawyers Weekly’s archives to arrive at a list of what we believe are the 30 most powerful white-collar defense attorneys in Missouri,” the publication stated.

Harris focuses his practice on internal investigations, corporate compliance, white-collar criminal matters and civil trial and appellate litigation. In his most recent role as executive assistant U.S. attorney, Harris developed and implemented strategies related to the Department of Justice’s Project Safe Neighborhoods and heroin and opioid initiatives in the Eastern District of Missouri. In addition, he supervised a unit of federal white-collar prosecutors while serving as white-collar chief within the U.S. Attorney’s Office. In this role he was responsible for the evaluation and assignment of cases, the review of charging decisions, proposed plea agreements and sentencing memorandums.

Finneran’s practice concentrates on white-collar criminal matters, corporate internal investigations, corporate compliance, and civil trial and appellate litigation. He served as an assistant U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Missouri from 2010 to 2017, during which time he was responsible for prosecuting some of the region’s most significant white-collar cases, including the two largest financial fraud trials ever conducted by that office. While at the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Finneran also supervised the office’s Suspicious Activity Report Review Team and was a frequent presenter on the subject of Bank Secrecy Act compliance. In 2014, Finneran received Missouri Lawyers Weekly’s Legal Champion Award and in 2016 he was honored with the Missouri Bar Foundation’s David J. Dixon Appellate Advocacy Award. Finneran also recently made headlines as the 2020 Democratic nominee for Missouri Attorney General.
