A blog post by members of BCLP’s Employment & Labor Team was quoted in the i (paper) regarding the impact of changes to the UK’s COVID-19 rules. This follows the government’s confirmation of the scrapping of many legal restrictions around COVID this week and its presentation of the “Living with COVID-19” strategy. The blog post looks at how employers should respond to the changing self-isolation rules upon a positive test, and considers the possibility of individuals attending the workplace while either positive for COVID or showing symptoms. “Employers need to strike a balance between living with Covid-19 while at the same time ensuring the safety of staff,” the blog noted. The original blog post was authored by Partner Adam Lambert, Associate Peter Summerfield and Knowledge Development Lawyer David von Hagen.
