The Tax News interviewed BCLP tax Partner Christine Daric in March 2022 about the many tax penalties targeted at tax payers. Christine discussed the most frequently applied sanctions, in particular the increases in the event of failure, or deliberate failure, to file tax returns. She also outlined the principle in which good faith is presumed in tax matters. Christine additionally explained that the legislator and the administration are tough on fraud and tax evasion especially as they attempt to fight it on an international scale.
