Biography
Alan Sinyor leads BCLP’s VAT practice, bringing decades of experience in UK and EU indirect taxation, with a particular emphasis on real estate. He is a chartered accountant, barrister, solicitor, and member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation.
Before joining BCLP, Alan held roles at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, where he served as Head of the International VAT Group, as well as at PwC and Deloitte. His career spans advisory and contentious VAT work, including landmark litigation at the Tax Tribunal on e-books.
Alan advises UK and international clients - property owners, private equity funds, and corporates - on transactional structuring, dispute resolution, and regulatory compliance. Known for his clarity and commercial insight, he delivers technically robust and actionable advice.
