Chelsey Phelps is an associate in the firm’s Finance Transactions practice group. Her practice includes real estate finance, commercial mortgage servicing, commercial lending and other commercial real estate transactions. Ms. Phelps primarily represents major financial institutions and CMBS/CME loan servicers in connection with commercial mortgage loan transactions, with a focus on defeasances.

Chelsey received her J.D. from Wake Forest School of Law where she was a member of the Wake Forest Journal of Business and Intellectual Property and participated in the Appellate Advocacy Clinic where she filed briefs and participated in oral argument in the Fourth Circuit.

Prior to law school Chelsey worked in development for her alma mater, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
