Summary

BCLP advises Caisse d'Epargne Ile-de-France and Bpifrance in a refinancing transaction for Reservoir Sun.

Reservoir Sun, a specialist in solar self-supply in France, and its banking partners have signed the refinancing of a new portfolio of 58 solar power plants for an amount of €22 million.

The refinanced portfolio consisted of all types of solar power plants (roofs, shades, ground), many of which are self-consumption. This operation is a new step for Reservoir Sun towards the industrialization of solar self-supply in France, with the objective of refinancing 100MWp of projects per year.

With a strong territorial presence, Reservoir Sun has 5 major hubs in France, located in Marseille, Paris, Lyon, Toulouse and Rennes. Since its creation in 2018, the structure has been dedicated to democratizing access to solar energy for local authorities and businesses and deploying self-consumption on a large scale.

For this transaction, BCLP advised the Caisse d'Epargne Ile-de-France and Bpifrance with a team composed of David Blondel, partner, Charles Sechao and Aliou Wone, associates, on the financing aspects; Jean-Pierre Delvigne, partner, and Maryne Gouhier, associate, on energy law; Christine Daric, partner, and Thomas Poiret, associate, on the tax aspects of the transaction.
