BCLP advises Get Living on the financing of New Maker Yards, Greater Manchester

International law firm BCLP has advised Get Living on the real estate and construction aspects of a £110 million financing deal for its New Maker Yards neighbourhood with Rothesay Life plc.  

Get Living is the UK’s leading build to rent operator of large-scale neighbourhoods. Rothesay is the UK's largest pensions insurance specialist.

New Maker Yards comprises of 821 build to rent apartments, four commercial units and underground car parking with landscaped gardens and public realm in Salford.

BCLP has been involved with the scheme since 2018, representing Get Living in the acquisition of the site through forward funding and forward purchase agreements.

The BCLP team advising Get Living was led by partners Janany Kathirgamanathan and Ruth Miller. Gibson Dunn also assisted Get Living with the finance aspects of the deal, while Ashurst acted for the lender, Rothesay Life Plc.
