BCLP appoints partner to drive legal services innovation
Jan 21, 2026London, 21 January 2026 – International law firm BCLP has announced today the appointment of Partner Nick Myatt to the newly created global role of Legal Innovation, Knowledge and Practice Strategy Partner.
Nick will play a leading role in driving the firm’s wider innovation strategy, including AI, putting BCLP’s lawyers at the heart of the firm’s push to advance legal innovation. This new position underlines BCLP’s commitment to accelerating its legal services innovation to deliver impact for clients. The role will prioritize grounding BCLP’s strategy in deep legal insight and ensuring it supports the firm’s client-intelligent approach.
Nick’s appointment follows the launch of BCLP’s Legal Evolution in AI Program (LEAP), the firm’s flagship program to drive transformation of legal practice and delivery to leverage the full capabilities and opportunities of AI technology. Nick and Chief Information Officer Dan Surowiec will be responsible for oversight of LEAP, working closely with its Global Co-Directors.
A partner within the firm’s corporate group, Nick has extensive experience of leading complex cross-border transactions and has previously served on the firm’s board.
