BCLP celebrates Property Team of the Year win at the British Legal Awards 2025
Nov 27, 2025We are delighted to announce that BCLP and Ashurst have won Property Team of the Year at the British Legal Awards 2025. The award recognises the firms’ joint submission celebrating our work on one of the most ambitious regeneration joint ventures ever undertaken in the UK: the landmark £24 billion conditional partnership between The Crown Estate (TCE) and Lendlease.
This transformational joint venture aims to progress some of the UK’s biggest and most complex regeneration schemes. Following a competitive tender process, BCLP was appointed to advise TCE on the creation of the partnership, which will acquire six major Lendlease schemes across the country — Euston Station (London), Smithfield (Birmingham), Silvertown (London), High Road West (London), Thamesmead (London), and Stratford Cross (London). Together these sites represent a combined developed value of approximately £24 billion, delivering more than 26,000 new homes and over 10 million sq ft of commercial space.
The scale, complexity and national importance of this deal made it a truly standout project. We are proud that the collaboration and dedication of the team have been recognised at this year’s awards.
The BCLP team advising on the transaction was led by Partners Chris de Pury (Real Estate), Adam Bogdanor (CREF), Celia Berg (Real Estate) and Elizabeth Bradley (Tax), supported by more than 60 UK lawyers across multiple practice areas, including Corporate Real Estate Finance, Real Estate, Tax, Antitrust and Procurement, Planning, Legal Project Management, Real Estate Disputes, Real Estate Finance, Data Protection, Technology and Commercial, Employment, Commercial Lending, and Financial Services and Disputes and Investigations.
