BCLP Expands Cross-Border M&A Capabilities with Strategic Partner Hire
Nov 18, 2025International law firm BCLP today announced that Laura M. Brank has joined the firm as a partner in its Corporate Transactions Practice, based in Washington, D.C.
Laura is a widely recognized corporate and finance lawyer with a broad-based M&A practice focused on emerging markets and cross-border transactions. Over the past 30 years, she has advised multinational corporations, investment funds, banks, multilateral institutions and high-net-worth individuals on complex corporate and finance matters, as well as on corporate governance and compliance matters, including international sanctions, throughout the U.S., Europe and Central Asia.

Laura’s transactional experience spans industries including mining and energy, TMT, life sciences and manufacturing. She has been recognized repeatedly by various legal directories, including Chambers Europe, ILFR1000, Best Lawyers and Who’s Who Legal as well as in Legal 500’s “Hall of Fame” in the areas of corporate governance, M&A, finance and compliance.
Laura’s clients require seamless cross-border support, a capability strongly aligned with BCLP’s international reach, and her work frequently intersects with adjacent practices such as international trade and arbitration.

Outside of her practice, Laura serves on several boards, including the Global Leaders Assembly Foundation, a nonprofit organization that promotes constructive engagement across borders on global challenges. She is also a member of the executive committee and the board of directors of the American Chamber of Commerce in Russia. In addition, she serves on the European Advisory Board of Georgetown University’s Law Center, the Advisory Board of Georgetown University’s Master of Science in Foreign Service program, and the Advisory Board of the CEELI Institute, a nonprofit organization focused on promoting the rule of law.
